SCHOLARSHIP and AWARD NEWS!!!

THE LCSAC SCHOLARSHIP & AWARDS PROGRAM

Cathy Bulera, Chairperson

The History of our Scholarship & Awards Program

Our scholarship program began in 1996 with a generous bequest from the estate of Louise Drumm.  Louise taught and was Art Supervisor for the La Crosse School District from 1931 until her retirement in 1968.  Louise Drumm was a member of La Crosse Society of Arts and Crafts.  She was on our board of directors and chaired several committees.   The scholarship program began with Louise Drumm.  Since that time, we have had fundraisers, earned interest, and received additional donations.    And now many years later, La Crosse Society of Arts and Crafts continues to be dedicated to awarding scholarships to area students who plan to continue their education in the field of visual art.   We also provide member scholarships and artist awards, wherever appropriate.  It is our intention to recognize and encourage talented artists.
